The Animals

This 12,000-acre farm features stunning alpine views and uses fresh glacial water for its Wagyu and Friesian cross-breed cattle. Practising low-impact farming without nitrogen, the cattle are fed a 200-day diet of barley, grain, and minerals, free of antibiotics.

The people

Kees and Kathryn are the farmers behind the stunning Lake Ohau Wagyu. The couple has been farming together for over 17 years and take pride in only sending cattle for processing when they have reached the optimum condition to deliver the Lake Ohau standard.
